CJ’s Events Warwickshire Cancels Weekend Markets Due to Safety Concerns
CJ's Events Warwickshire regrets to announce the cancellation of all markets scheduled for this weekend due to safety concerns arising from Storm Bert.
CJ's Events Warwickshire has announced Warwick Market this Saturday, 19th February will be hosting essential only stalls.
An Amber Weather Warning is in place for Friday with gusts of up to 60MPH into the evening, threatening Warwick Market. However, the market operator will be reducing stalls to enable the market to go ahead.
Jamie Walker of CJ's Events Warwickshire said: 'Following consultation with our Operations Team, we have made a difficult decision to permit Warwick Market to go ahead on Saturday, but with essential stalls only (Food & Drink).'
'An Amber Weather Warning is in place for Friday with gusts of up to 60MPH into the evening. This will mean that set-up will not be possible on Friday as usual. Saturday's wind levels are much better, increasing again on Sunday. '
'However, due to staffing levels and timeframe, we'd be unable to set up a full market for a full trading day on Saturday morning. Therefore, we have decided to operate the Saturday Market with essential stalls. This will enable our team to ensure they can set up a reduced number of stalls within a timely manner.'
Warwick Market will operate from 9am until 3pm and a full list of who's attending can be found online https://www.cjseventswarwickshire.co.uk/events/2fa92a330e9288af/
