Local market operators CJ's Events Warwickshire are asking the local community for their help.
The 2022 Great British Market Awards voting is now open, and the operator are asking shoppers and visitors to vote for the weekly Warwick Market.
The Market, which has remained open over the Coronavirus Pandemic and lockdowns, has provided a much-needed lifeline for residents of Warwick. It quickly became a Central Government case study in 2020 as the first outdoor Market to reopen successfully with strict covid measures.
Since then, the Market has been thriving with new independent businesses trading, offering high-quality local produce, arts, homeware, and gifts.
CJ's Events Warwickshire was also successful in the retendering process, which took place earlier this year. It will remain the operator of Warwick District Markets for another four years, with a two-year extension.
Jamie Walker of CJ's Events Warwickshire said: 'We're urging our traders, shoppers and visitors to help Warwick Market to come out on top in next year's Great British Market Awards run by The National Association of British Market Authorities. Warwick Market is a thriving market which is supported by many, and offers a great range of local produce, arts, crafts, homeware and gifts. We had great achievements last year by remaining open during the national lockdowns and being use as a Central Government Case Study with our strict covid measures.'
