Response to Government's 4 Step Plan

Following the Prime Ministers announcement yesterday, Monday 22nd February, CJ's Events Warwickshire would like to confirm our Market & Event Response to the Government's steps announced. 

The following update can be issued at this time, but must stress, this is in line with Governments advice and these timeframes are subject to data.

  • Kenilworth Market - The weekly Kenilworth Market will remain open for essential stalls only. Non-essential stalls will be able to return when we move to Step 2 of the Government's plan, no earlier than 12 April.
  • Warwick Market - The weekly Warwick Market will remain open for essential stalls only. Non-essential stalls will be able to return when we move to Step 2 of the Government's plan, no earlier than 12 April.
  • Spring Producers Market - This market will be going ahead as planned, as this is classed as an essential market and falls in line with Government advice.
  • Barton Marina Artisan Market - In line with Government Legislation, this is a non-essential market, and therefore, the March Market will be cancelled, returning in April, subject to us moving to Step 2. 
  • Covent Garden Quarter Market - In line with Government Legislation, this is a non-essential market, and therefore, the March Market will be cancelled, returning in April, subject to us moving to Step 2. 
  • Warwick Food Festival - The Warwick Food Festival is scheduled to take place as planned. The government will permit events to go ahead during Step 3, with additional measures in place. The event will not occur in the Town Centre and instead will take place in St Nicholas Park to ensure capacity and safety measures can be maintained and monitored correctly. Further information will be released shortly.
  • Coombe Abbey Food Featival - The Coombe Abbey Food Festival is scheduled to take place as planned. The government will permit events to go ahead during Step 3, with additional measures in place to ensure capacity and safety measures can be maintained and monitored correctly. Further information will be released shortly.
  • All other Major Events - All events after 21st June are scheduled to take place as planned with no capacity limits, subject to us moving into Step 4. Further information will be released over the coming weeks. 

Any non-essential trader who has booked into an event and unable to trade due to the Government legislation, their booking will be moved to the next available market.
