CJ’s Events Warwickshire Cancels Weekend Markets Due to Safety Concerns
CJ's Events Warwickshire regrets to announce the cancellation of all markets scheduled for this weekend due to safety concerns arising from Storm Bert.
It is with much disappointment we must confirm our 2020 Nuneaton Food Festival, which was due to take place on Sunday 12th July 2020, will be cancelled. COVID-19 remains a very fast moving and complex situation, the health, safety and welfare of our team, exhibitors, contractors and visitors must be taken seriously during this crisis.
NBBC currently have an 'event ban' in place, and we've been unable to find another safe & viable format in which we can host the traders.
Jamie Walker of CJ's Events Warwickshire said: ' The majority of our Food Festival season has been wiped out and we are absolutely devastated that we've been unable to hold a Food Festival this year. COVID-19 remains a fast moving and complex situation, and whilst all of our markets are now returning, hosting events which attracts thousands of visitors and are huge social events, is just not safe, nor allowed by Central Government. We await further advice and clarification on events from Central Government and hope this comes soon.
'As with all cancellations, this will be a huge disappointment to our exhibitors and thousands of visitors, and we sincerely apologise, but we will be back for 2021 delivering an even bigger & better festival.
CJ's Events Warwickshire has made contact with all exhibitors and event delivery partners and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their on-going support.
