Festive Season Office & Market Update
Our office will close at 4pm on Friday, 20th December, and will reopen at 9am on Monday, 6th January 2025. 📅 Limited email support will be available until Monday, 23rd December.
Scaled down markets will take place from 9am to 2pm on Saturday 23 May in Warwick and on Thursday 28 May in Kenilworth. The events will be limited to ten stalls selling food products only, with a number of measures in place to protect the health and safety of the public. These include a queuing system with a maximum of ten visitors allowed in the market area at one time. All food sold will be pre-packed with card payments only accepted.
Warwick District Council's Portfolio Holder for Business, Councillor Richard Hales commented;
"The reopening of our popular weekly markets is an important and very carefully taken step as we move towards the recovery of our local economy. The decision to relaunch has only been taken after consultation with businesses and residents and much work behind the scenes to ensure that all the appropriate health and safety measures are in place. We very much hope that people will come along and support local traders, whilst respecting stall-holders and other visitors and taking care to maintain social distance."
Jamie Walker, Director CJ's Events added;
"We're pleased to be returning with our weekly markets. Our priority has always been, and will always be the safety of our colleagues, traders, visitors and the communities we serve. We have put in plans and measures to ensure the markets can operate safety within government guidelines and will continue to work closely with Warwick District Council to review each market and will implement additional measures if required."
