CJ’s Events Warwickshire Cancels Weekend Markets Due to Safety Concerns
CJ's Events Warwickshire regrets to announce the cancellation of all markets scheduled for this weekend due to safety concerns arising from Storm Bert.
It is with much disappointment we must confirm our 2020 Kenilworth Food Festival, which was due to take place on Sunday 19th July 2020, will be cancelled. COVID-19 remains a very fast moving and complex situation, the health, safety and welfare of our team, exhibitors, contractors and visitors must be taken seriously during this crisis.
Local government have extended their 'event ban' until the end of August and this may be extended further, sadly Kenilworth Food Festival falls within this timeframe.
Jamie Walker of CJ's Events Warwickshire said: ' This decision has been taken out of our hands as Warwick District Council have extended their event ban across the District, whilst this is a huge disappointment, we understand and support the Council's decision on this. COVID-19 remains a fast moving and complex situation, whilst markets and shops are reopening, hosting events which attracts thousands of visitors and are huge social events, is just not safe, nor allowed by Central Government just yet.
'We know this cancellation will be a huge disappointment to our exhibitors and thousands of visitors, and we sincerely apologise, we will announce a 2021 date shortly.
'We're looking forward to a much bigger & successful 2021 Summer Season.
CJ's Events Warwickshire has made contact with all exhibitors and event delivery partners and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their on-going support.
