It is time to dust off those Santa hats and get into the festive spirit to celebrate the start of Chirstmas.
Christmas is the most magical time of the year as the country celebrates the pending arrival of the big man himself and when it comes to getting the celebrations under way Burton is no exception.
There is a full programme of events as part of 'Christmas in Burton', which have been organised by East Staffordshire Borough Council.
The events, which will include performances, shows, activities and festive markets, are the perfect way for the whole family to enjoy Christmas, organisers have said.
The programme kicks off on Sunday, November 24, with the annual Christmas lights switch on in Burton Market Place.
The day will start with a Christmas Market and entertainment from 2pm, followed by the lights switch on and fireworks display at 5pm.
Shoppers will be able to experience weekend of festive treats, as Burton Market Place welcomes two event to the town, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday, December 7 and December 8.
On Saturday, December 7, the popular Makers' Market will bring a range of artisan traders and live entertainment to the Market Place between 10am and 5pm.
Shoppers will also be able to head inside the Market Hall to browse stalls from an already sold out line up of local crafters and makers.
On Sunday, December 8, the Market Place will host its very first Festive Food Festival. Developed in conjunction with CJ's Events, shoppers can expect a wide range of stalls serving food and drink from home and abroad.
Families have the opportunity to get creative on Saturday, December 7, as the Brewhouse arts centre, off Union Street, hosts it annual Festive Family Funday, which also features a visit from Santa.
Children will also be able to join in the fun, as the colourful interactive show, 'Glisten', arrives at the Brewhouse from December 16 to 18.
